San Francisco, April 17, 2019 — MicroEJ, a Google™ Cloud partner and the only provider of the miniaturized app platform, a sibling of Android™ for cost-effective smart devices (IoT), unveiled at Google Cloud Next ’19 the revolutionary Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Edge Plug that connects any Smarter Things to Google’s Cloud IoT Core services.
Embracing the vision of “write once, run anywhere”, the GCP Edge Plug is a universal app that runs the same on all microprocessors whatever the operating system running on the IoT device.
In addition, both Android and MicroEJ’s app platform, called VEE, share the same publicly available virtualization core technology making it possible for Android app developers to effortlessly build applications for cost-effective smart devices (IoT) that are securely connected to Google’s IoT Cloud.
